Sabin Scramble Tourneys ***Once a month***

Post by Willie Nelson »

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well and staying cool this summer. The rain looks like it's holding off but with that comes the wonderful summer heat. Something else we're looking to heat up around here is some competition. I've approached some of you about hosting "scramble" style tournaments. They'll be geared for you guys and will be less formal than the scheduled AOY tournaments. So here's the deal; we're planning on setting up at the sportsman supply in Sabine pass. The check in will be arriving from 5-6:30 a.m. with $20 in hand. We will pool all money for the day into a hat and divide up according to amount of entries. We will have a "rotating" side pot for an additional $5. After check-in fish wherever you would like! Drive to Corpus or head to Louisiana. It's up to you. You will be scored on your best 5 gamefish (redfish, trout, flounder). Limits must be adhered to in TEXAS. Don't bring 5 reds to the scales please! The side pot will move from heaviest red to flounder to speck and so on. The scales will open from 3:00-5:00 and we encourage you to come hang out. We'll be doing straight 100% payouts to the field as well as doing give aways at the weigh in. We want to center these around you guys so we're offering the date of the event each month up to yall. These events will occur once a month and all debate on dates will occur on the this post and others to come announcing the Scramble. There will be an announcement on the Texas Kayak Fisherman Forum website as well under the SWB section. THESE ARE OPEN EVENTS AS WELL. You do not need to be a member to fish the events, so bring your friends club member or non. We do have our second big SWB tournament on July 9th. You do have to be a member for that, however that is our AOY race and it's anyone's game right now. Any questions or suggestions about the scrambles feel free to ask! Thanks guys. We're looking to have the first scramble in July but if yall decide this month works best then let's do it! Tight lines
