Outfished by my boy

What a great morning!!! We got up early, made the short drive to buc-ees for a bit of breakfast, and hit the water. My son has been out a couple of times with me, but the best we could do was a few whiteing.

Today was the day, I just knew it. We had a short paddle to a canal nearby I got him set up. I got the first fish of the day (and my only one

) It was a really fat slot Red, woulda been a nice fillet! 24+"

Then Matthew started getting busy. First was a big Drum, then a really sweet Slot Red that took him for quite the sleh ride :twisted:

It measured up at 26" plus a bit. He was all smiles, and has the bug big time!!!

He caught annother red, a rat, but it was just as cool to him.

It was a great day, and my fishing partner is sure for life :twisted:

Oh yeah. He's stoked to catch a shark. By the summer we ought to be rigged for BTB and having a ball. He's easy to please, anything that swims is a gold strike to him!!
