Somerville 2/10

Fished one of the creeks on Somerville on Saturday with my brother Aggie92. Cold and breezy on the lake where we put in, but not too bad in the creek. Together we boated 18 or 19 whites, all between 12 and 14 inches. Paddled about 2 miles up, water a bit dirty but the fish are there. Most groups were small, we'd catch 3 or 4 and then move to the next hole. Good time. No pics since we decided to catch and release - a lot of exploring to be done to worry about pulling around fish.

Did you paddle up into Yegua or Nails creek? I'm about to lose patience waiting for good weather conditions before I go back to Somerville and paddle up the creek. I paddled up Yegua twice back in December and haven't been back since. I may be heading that way next Friday if it doesn't rain too much next week.

We paddled Nails, a lot less people there. Have read a few good reports from Yegua also.
