I would imagine that almost everyone that fishes out of a kayak has had a problem with power boaters. A rare thing happened last saturday. I was fishing by kemah and I meet three guys in their boat. I caught a limit of trout and they left me alone and kept a larger than average distance from me. As I was paddling by them heading for the truck, one of them asked me if it was alright if they can go fish the spot I left. I was was so taken by his courtesy that I told them the lure type and color and wished them luck. Maybe this guy will pass his fishing etiquette on to his children and start something.

Vincent,

Judging by the pics, it looks like you must of launched at Sportsman Rd.?? That is what I believe is the best for launching a yak. for that area that you are fishing? I could be all wrong? Just trying to help......

Vincent,

Some friends were out there but waded on Friday. They caught 4-6 each from 20" to 26". You may well have seen them if you were where I think you were.

I went Sunday with 2 of them but the high pressure shut most of that action down. We were wading in about 3' feet of water and a couple of times had boats drift within casting distance (I prefer twice that much distance) but, since we weren't really doing very much, it didn't steam me too bad.

Those are some FATTY trout Vincent. I love reading your reports cuz they are so detailed. Seems to me the potlickers envy you. Shame they got so close. They may have been jealous because you out fished them WELL and from a yak! :D Thank you for the tips also.
