go deep in cold weather

Post by Buzz »

Well you all heard it over and over.....in cold weather go deep and go slow. A buddy and I put that saying to practice by fishing the ICW near Freeport a day last week. The fish were staged in deep water near mouths of several bayous and eagerly accepted soft plastics. End result were over 100 slot reds. We kept our six and practiced catch-n-release on the rest. TP&W checked us out to make sure we were legal after witnessing some of our success.

Thanks for the info. There are a couple of spots near Golden Triangle that may produce similar results. I will post if they do.
