Medina River - June 13, 2020

Post by Neumie »

Not a kayak trip, but kayakable waters.

Made a wade fishing trip this morning with my fly rod. I worked my way down river and fished several pools. Fishing was great as I caught multiple species.

Not a lot to write about, so here are the pictures.

Pretty river, super clear water - you could probably see everything the fish did! And they you of course, if you are not careful. A great place for a fly rod!!
Thanks for the report -

Josh, great report. TX hill country creeks and the native fly rod fare are easy summertime fishing.

Nice!

What type of fish is that? The ones that are not a bluegill or bass.

Rio Grande Cichlids

Caught those as well as Red Breasted Sunfish, Long Ear Sunfish (not pictured), Largemouth Bass, and Guadalupe Bass.

Very nice. I’ve been wanting to check out that part of the river myself since I moved here.
