January's report 2019 upper coast
I fished a bayou that I will not be able to disclose the the locatation only the tactics a and. Action used to catch the fish it was a strong four tide day with the fish suppose to be feeding at night. But it was a low of 50 and a high of 65 which is a little chili for the Houston area anyway I started fishing the light at 6:30 started with down south super model on a 1/8 ounce jig head colore black and chartreuse tale. I would cast to the edge of the light and let it sink for 20 sec then I would start reeling reel slow making sure it was close to the bottom with double twitches ever 4 to 5 seconds with a pause following the twitches the speckled trout were barley picking it up my saying when the water tempature is cold when in. Doubt set the hook and you might catch a few. Caught a nice 17 and a quarter inch speck to start it of then the next cast I had another 16 to 18 inch speck on fought him across the light Then he came up and spit the lure bumper slow night every fish was earned total catch 17 inch speck,15 and a quarter,14 and 3/4 squeezed touch 15 realeased and a 14 and 1/2. 4 trout in a night not to bad water salinity more salty then fresh but did have a lot of fresh taste to it. Sorry for the inconsistent reports I'll try to post at least 1 a month.pictues will be posted shortly
