Found fish, but they really didn’t want to commit to anything.
Got lucky on this 22” flounder. I really prayed to not loose it. Also took home a 15” blk drum.

Nice work, Chuck. I have never caught a black drum or sheepie, but I hear those puppy drum taste good. How did you prepare it?

So blk drum we catch alot, I usually fry in egg/corn meal. Or sauté in olive oil or butter with seasoning. I rarely broil or bake....just because afraid to over cook. They do taste great and are very plentiful around here. Catch way more with shrimp or crab. I actually froze that for my parents.shoffer wrote:Nice work, Chuck. Blk drum taste like reds.
Sheepies have a sweet taste to them and are one if my favorites!

To me, black drum taste whiter than reds - closer to specs. Part of that could be the red slot size.
They're a hoot on a fly rod, mostly because they don't eat right away, and test your nerve on multiple presentations.
