Texas slam on bayou vista 11/20

Launched at Louis bait camp on Tuesday around 5 am. I Started out fishing the neighborhoods green lights until the sun came up. Landed a keeper flounder and a few rat reds. Started working some birds around 7 am and caught a bunch of rat red. I headed in to Louis to get some mullet but he wasn’t open so I went back out and did pretty good on the west bay side of the railroad bridge. Caught a 20 in trout and a bunch of undersize fish. All the slot reds were in the marsh. Overall it was a great day!!

All the fish were caught on chicken boy lures and down south lures on a 1/8 o/z jig head. White with a chartreuse tail.

A long time ago, one fishing buddy of mine started calling me 2/3, two thirds, that’s because it seemed like every time we fished together I would end up with two out of three of the slam fish, but couldn’t close the deal on the third. The name sticks until this day. “How’s it going two thirds?” I enjoy him calling me that, but I might enjoy being called ”slam man” or something along those lines even better.

That usually happens to me. but the last 2 times I’ve been to bayou vista, I’ve hit a slam!!
