Went out to try my luck on this windy day. It turns out my girl friend had more luck then me today. She caught her first founder. It was pretty big. We didn't have a measuring tape but maybe 20 inches. We used dead shrimp and fished the Seabrook area

Well done!

Those bigger flounder have already started to move to the openings of the marsh and banks. With the first cold front next week they will move into the bays. closer to the deeper channels going to passes.

Remember 5 is the limit until 1 Nov where it drops to 2 until 15 Dec. Good luck!

Caught a 21" flounder, 3.6lbs IIRC, in Seabrook lagoon, 4 weeks ago. Caught with fresh cut ladyfish in tidal current. Its stomach was empty. Must have gone for its first meal ... and last.
