Made the long drive to Sea Rim to take advantage of the nice conditions and catch some bull reds. Met up with Rainmaker and his buddy around sunrise. Bait of choice was fresh dead mullet.
Early morning conditions were perfect.
Paddled out to a water depth of about 8-10 feet, anchored and never moved all morning. Lots of gaftops but the reds were mixed in with them. About 5 minutes of soaking the first mullet heads resulted in a double for early morning.
It was a nice steady bite all morning. Managed to land 21 reds from 7:45 am to 1 pm. Some of them were really fat!
It got a little rough out there, but that made the reds bite even better.
Ran out of bait around 1:00 pm and left them biting. It was a fun day on the water!
