Day started nice with low winds
Thought I was lucky to find some birds feeding
They were feeding, but on dead shad
Bad hair day
Technically fish were caught. Respectfully, none were

Kickingback - Yes it did stink
Chubs - Probably fertilizer runoff from a field
Yakrunabout - I may not catch fish on a trip but I always get one keeper pic

If it was fertilizer that's not good!
I was thinking it being shallow maybe it got hot and the tide went out and stranded them in very shallow very hot water and then the tide came back in.
At least I hope it's that simple because if someone is leaking that much fertilizer in the water it can be a hazard to the entire area.
Check for any extra toes or digits!

I have seen the dead shad ocean before. It was in a cove near Smith Point at this same time of year. I think the shad head to still water and the oxygen depletion causes it.
