Hey you caught a nice picture at least. I hope I can find some of those guys my next outing. I know this isn't what's pictured, but I really want to see a rosette spoon bill.

If you want to see some spoonbills along with many other herons and egrets, right now is a good time to visit the Boy Scout Woods at High Island Sanctuary. The amount of birds is almost overwhelming.

wow that's pretty neat. I wonder if BNWR would have a set of them now too - there was tons of ducks and pelicans there when I went in winter.

I did end up seeing a spoonbill yesterday but he was in flight overhead.
