Fayette with a shot of Cuervo

Post by Yakster »

Hit up Fayette for a few hours on Saturday. Use to fish there alot but hadn't been there in a couple of years. Somethings never change and wind was still blowing but was glad to see the vegetation is back. Started out banging the bank because I guess I have a fondness for the weeds but wasn't having any luck and eventually was run out of my cove by the castnet cabelleros. Decided to take Cuervo's advice and go deep. Only hooked one but she was strong and hit hard, but fought like a dead fish, pretty much just dragged her in with no fight what so ever. Will try again soon.

Not bad. I’m thinking of making a run out there soon. I’ll make sure to call ahead and see if the fat lady bass are looking to dance the monofilament lambada.

Nice! Well done!
I am one of those rogue cast netters but I do it at the ramp. I get lots of small tilapia and they make great live bait for both big bass and cats! Mostly bass!
