It’s been a long day so I’m going to make this short. My brother and I fished B&R Flats this morning for the first time since Harvey. The water was super high and it made difficult to find a spot to park in the dark. The high water also had the fish scattered. It took the whole morning but I was able to scratch out a limit of Reds. I also threw back a bunch of undersized Trout and rat Reds.
All fish were caught on Down South Lures paddle tails. I rotated through a few colors because there was a lot of variation in water clarity. Closer to 361 the water was murky and it got clearer further out on the flat.
Boring pic but it’s all I got.

Great photo.
We got one good red on Saturday at B&R, but when we first arrived on Friday, Trout Bayou at Estes had the same giant tide, and 4:30 to 6pm paddle got us dinner.

That is good news. I arrive back at Rockport nov 2. Hurting for a red to try to yank the pole out of my hands.
