GISP

Post by mwatson71 »

Had the opportunity to make a quick fishing trip so I called a buddy and we decided to check out GISP. The tide was in and it was very high. Very little wind and very little current. We launched right at 7:00a.

He ran out to the geotubes and caught a few sand trout and a rat red. I opted to stay in Lake Como and threw a tandem swimmin' shad speck rig. I caught a bunch of sand trout, a rat red, a couple of ladyfish, and one 16" speck. I tried a couple of different plastics as well but the only bites came on the speck rig. Not a great trip as far as catching a bunch of keepers but always good to be back in the kayak with a line in the water.
