Made my annual trout meat haul today during the favorable tides. Bay waters were a little rough early in the morning but water visibility remained good. Didn't see a whole lot of bait activity on the surface. Didn't get the first couple blow ups until after 7:30 AM. Lost two big trout at the net on back to back casts. Best bite was from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM with non-stop explosive blow-ups, tail walking , and aerial displays from the trout. Good stuff.
I ended up keeping 10 trout between 20" and 22". Released another 20+ fish up to 20" before the bite shut down around noon.
