Eckert/Starvation

Well, got my Prism back up and running. New hatch seals and bungee. First time out in about 10 years. Guess that's what 4 kids does to you.

On the water at 9:10am. NE wind 15+ and overcast. Water clear.

Headed north. Fished grass line and paddled the marsh. No bait, no sightings. Got out past the geo-tubes and drifted a few times in search of.....nada. Paddled back towards Starvation and saw a couple more kayaks working the area. Worked shoreline and a couple of drifts. Again....nada. Wind was killing me, so headed south back towards launch at Settegast. Sun peaked out while I was enjoying my sandwich. Picked up a 17" trout trolling in front of houses across from launch site. Drifted that area a few times with no luck. Headed south of the launch site and enjoyed wind-free fishing for awhile. Wanted to catch the incoming afternoon tide, but my body said it was time to go. Off the water at 1:30pm.

Hit Louis bait camp on Hwy 6 on the way home. Had a nice talk with Summer. Can't wait to try Highland Bayou soon!
