Lake Sheldon 2/12

Went to Lake Sheldon for the first time Sunday morning. I got there around 7:45 and there were about 10 trailers in the parking lot. It was cloudy wit the wind blowing out of the South. Got some helpful hint from a guy launching his boat. Paddled around for an hour or so and got a couple of bumps on a wacky rig. Around 10 the sky cleared up to large, broken clouds and an occasional breeze. I used a wacky rig with a 5" Yum Dinger in Cajun Neon and then it was on. Bites were solid to outright aggressive. All of them were caught within a foot of water hyacinth patches on the protected side. Left around 1:30 and more boats were coming out and so was the warden. It was a great day!
