Hit my favorite flat today in the corpus area. Weather was nasty early on but cleared up by about 1030. Brought along a saltwater first timer.
Fished a protected flat throwing a gold weedless spoon in about 3' of water, drifting from one end to the other and repeating. Between the two of us we landed 3 slots, 22, 23, 24, and several rat reds just shy. The wind kept up most of the day but we kept at it, they were there.

That canoe is sweet! I run a little microskiff and it really opens up a lot of water that you would wear you out just trying to get to in a kayak.
