Skipped Lonestar Rally to fish POC

So we live in Galveston County and if you didn't notice, the LSR was this weekend. Scooters and trailers all heading to Galveston. We headed for Port O'Conner with our kayaks loaded up. Fished Powderhorn Lake Saturday morning and caught fish! Took lunch at Cathy's in POC and then headed to Boggy Bayou. Caught fish there too! Mostly Sand Trout, one keeper Red. You have to understand that we are not used to catching a lot of fish so we were having a blast! Will definately go back! Anyone else out there ever fish these locations? Any other suggestions?

launch out of the fishing center and fish the grass line across the intercoastal, stake out drains pushing out bait.

Yeah, we looked at that, intercoastal looked like a freeway at the time! Thanks for the suggestion, maybe we will next time.
