Hit Fayette around 8 Saturday morning. Tried to fish shallow to start the morning, with T-rigs and top water to no avail. After about thirty minutes of no takers I went back to the Carolina rig pattern, I used over Easter weekend, in about 8-10' of water. This seemed to be the ticket. I picked up nine and missed at least that many due to short strikes. As long as the wind kept me on a nice parallel drift with the bank the fish were hitting, but the wind didn't cooperate the entire day. I would get a solid 30-45 minutes of good drifts then 30-45 minutes of drifting straight to the bank. Fished until around 1 and called it a day. Another successful trip
But any day on the water is a successful trip!

Nice fish, my buddies boat fish there at times but I've never been. The wind pushing you to the bank when you want to work down the length of it is when a propel drive shines. A reverse peddle every once in a while and you can easily maintain your drift along the line you want. I don't think I could ever go back.
