Indianola / Powderhorn Lake 3/31/16

Post by TrailChaser »

Drove down to Indianola to do a little fishing.
I put a couple of speckled trout on the stringer right off, then things slowed down for a while. A couple of hours later things heat up again and I put two more nice trout on the stringer. Then the fight of the day comes along and after a nice little battle she was in the net.

Hope you guys don't mind that I spared the details, but here are a couple of pics.

The 22" trout swallowed the red.

Nice catch!! I'll be out there with ya as soon as my leg heals. Until then, keep the reports and fish coming! :)

YakMack.... I can see the pics. You may be the only one that can't see them. Sounds like a computer issue possibly. :(

Are you launching at the Marina or at the RV park? I haven't been back to Powderhorn since Nov when I went and the winds were howling and water was white caps. I've seen gators there and didn't want to risk thrashing around the water if I turtled.

Don't forget about the sharks and evil dolphins.

I launched from the marina. The RV park was the original plan, but it was blown out.
