Round 2
Round 2
My wife was working this weekend so I went out again yesterday afternoon to see if the big trout were still hanging around. It was a slow bite, but the big trout were still there. I had a lot of problems hooking the big ones, and losing one big one during the fight. I still managed to get 6 nice trout from 19.5"-24.75" and an upper slot red. They were a little more spread out today. The key was to cast at fleeing mullet. I would pass up the casual jumpers and look for mullet that were making low fast jumps. There were times out there where the wind would go completely slack and the bite would be almost nonexistent. When I would get a little ripple on the water the blowups would start happening again. Other than missing the big ones it was a nice 4 hours out on the water.

Good weekend right there
Re: Round 2
Thanks guys.
That's one thing I've really noticed about new guys that I take out. They have a hard time reading the signs of what to cast at.karstopo wrote:Nice, good detail about the nervous bait

Re: Round 2
You are making this look too easy. Aren't you supposed to have to grind to find fish that size on a daily basis?
