New water explorin' 7-13

Post by IndyKid »

I checked out some new water this morning with my dad in tow. Port O area. Tide was really rolling in the whole morning. Wind was 5-10 all morning. Caught a flounder on a gold spoon next to a shallow reef, Some rat reds on a grass flat and a couple trout in a deeper gut on ladyfish. More detailed report on my blog http://fishnpaddle.weebly.com/fishing-stories" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I feel like I spent more time checking out the area and pushing a stuck boat that thought they could run in a few inches than fishing, or maybe thats just my excuse for the poor stringer :P Either way, enjoyed learning the area, will be back soon.

That beer was given to me by a gentleman that had gotten stuck in his PB on a flat and I pushed out. great day for it!
