Picked up the new ride yesterday and decide I would test it out this morning. So far so good.
Launched in the Freeport marsh around 6:20 for a short paddle and first time hack at a new fishing hole. What I found was exciting. Water clarity was clean but not to clear. Wind 0-3mph during the whole trip and the fish were everywhere. Hooked into a 18" fat red first cast, only to look up and see tails cracking the surface. Slowly paddle to them and began throwing about the 10th cast I landed a 23" red as the school dispersed. Moved on to find a few more schools in which I hooked a nice 25" red. Called it a day shortly after and headed home by 8:30. Hopefully I find them again in the morning.
