Had second thoughts on going last night since I was tired of all the day activities so I waited to go this morning. Started to get ready by 5:30am and was at TCD by 6:30am. Launched by the ramp next to Mosquito Island and I could barely see more than 20 yards away with the fog cover.
Put all my lights on and headed out using Navionics Marine/Lakes to reach Mosquito Island. Soon I could not see landmarks anywhere and kept peddling until I got close to Mosquito Island. Hop off the PA and went wading for a couple of hrs. Nothing! Top waters, gulp, squid, mullet, and nothing! I did not feel bad cuz there were two other yaks and two guys wading next to me and no one caught a single bite.
Still, it was good to be out during day light. Navionics, don't leave home without it! lol
Check the photo of the fog below.

How do you like the avionics app and what upgrades are a must for us kayakers? I'm thinking about buying it.

I use it for finding reefs n drop offs and any time that I get lost at night or heavy fog. You need the enhanced map options to get google or bing overlay
