First cast

Saw a fish hammer something by our home so I tossed a crank bait. Nice cast in hopes of first fish only to have a seagull fly into my line before my lure hit the water. Note, said seagull was mad but all I had was a jacket. Put jacket over the gull and it calmed down.
Figured it was an omen of things to come and went back inside for another day.

haha ive had a similar experience with busting bait near a retention wall. i cast my SS jr at it and spooked a group of pelicans in the process. long story short i had to "persuade" the pelican to let me get close enough to cut my line on the back side so he could fly away without extra jewelry, and i could get my bait back lol

Damn Tom, I'd prob done the same thing. I can relate though. First Chronarch I ever tried was a buddies... First cast and a had a gull do the same thing!
