Got a chance to go out and fish this afternoon sadly I don't have a camera to use in the kayak.
I managed to catch 5 rat reds to about 14 inches and a few lady fish using live mullet under a cork. It was a low tide the whole trip hoping I will get some bigger Reds on a high tide.
The girlfriend managed to snap this really amazing picture when I was on the way back in.

OK, all that dang live bait hassle & just a few undersized fish...
At least you got a girlfriend who snaps world-class kayak photos.
(that shall for awhile be my new computer wallpaper).
Thanks, Mr. Vsynk.

The live bait wasn't too much of a hassle I enjoy cast netting for bait can be trouble some finding the bait to net though.
This was only my 3rd time out in my kayak and first time getting a fish from it.

Yeah wait for high tide and the reds will be tailing it might be hard to get them to notice anything. I'm going to try some artificial crab with a scent. Next time I see you out there I will try to get out in the water

Never hurts to have company I'm still learning to kayak and probably need some pointers. I'm glad I got some fish using live mullet but want to also get them on some lures eventually. I might be out there again Saturday just not sure yet and if so what time.
