Boerne lake

Post by itchn2go »

Hey guys I was thinking about fishing at Boerne lake this weekend. Any suggestions about what types of baits to use for bass and maybe crappie.

I would throw 1/2 to 3/4 oz Rattletraps in 6 to 10ft over grass until you make contact with the size bass you are looking for and then switch to Texas rigged punkin seed lizards or jigs with trailer to finish the task. Catch till they quit then move on. Mark your spots on gps so you can revisit later. The operative word is SLOW. When water temp approaches 70, you can speed up again.
Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Any specific colors for the rattle traps and lizards? Also what areas should we try, never fished there, but heard that the bass fishing is pretty good.
