Really bad fishing days

Has anyone who might have fished lake belton or lake Waco or stillhouse hollow had any luck I have been on them and fished till I turned blue and no luck I had a nice bass on Waco folks a Texas rigged worm but nothing

TX-rigged creature bait flipped into and around flooded brush/timber on Belton or Stillhouse has worked for me. Dark colors in murky water and watermelon red when its clears.
