Been gone for 7 years

Post by wigy »

I have been off this forum for 7 years. Last time I was on here I was in Corpus Christi, TX chasing redfish and Sharks. Well I am back and fishing in TX hill country for Bass. It is good to be back.

Welcome back....

Things have changed, though. We are all older, and the traffic on here has slowed down a lot. Some have moved over to the Facebook TKF.

LM bass can be fun. Wish we had smallies, too. What lakes do you fish?

Will be going to town lake soon for the first time in the kayak. Lake Pville has some monster bass as well. Friend caught a 10lber last year, and my large there was 5 last year as well.

Lake Georgetown can be a real pain in a yak, always seems windy out there. Pflugerville gets windy too but doesn't have the same kind of open water Georgetown does.

Town Lake is really fun on a yak, there's also some smallmouths in there.

There are lots of good rivers in the Austin area as well. The Colorado, San Gabriel, San Marcos and Guadalupe are all good on yaks.
