fishing brushy creek lake park

Post by 05kas05 »

man there was more than a few kayakers out on the water today but i managed to pull 5 out of brushy creek lake park, i was over bye the last pedestrian bridge when i started my way back to the kayak launch but kept throwing into the bushes and trees along the way, i hooked up over bye the underpass and pulled out my new personal best
the fish measured 21.5 inches and weighed 6lbs. now i need to move up the scale and find an 8lbs one next time.

They have a kayak rental place at brushy creek lake park with a kayak launch which is where i put in at. If your headed north on parmer ln you will need to make a right on brushy creek road and the park entrance is on the right about 400 feet down the road.
The baseball fields are actually on the west side of parmer ln so if your bank fishing i would suggest going behind the ball fields i have seen the bank fishermen do pretty good there.
If you do google maps you can actually do street view and see the kayak rental area and the launch. i always start on that side and work my way down under parmer all the way down to the last little pedestrian bridge and then work my way back.

From the kayak launch about half way up the bank to the dock there is a rock pile about 30 yards off shore if you find it and the slime isn't bad fish will be there.
