I spent the last week and a half making a couple of trips to Lake Fayette. The bite has been pretty good in depths between 7 and 8' of water.

Re: Lake Fayette has been pretty hot lately
Thanks for the update, hows was the wind while you were there? While I really enjoy that body of water from a kayak or a bass boat. It seems to be either perfect or really really windy, not much in between. Last time out several months ago, I got on the water early and crossed the lake, by the time I got there on the opposite side the wind was truly brutal on the way back. I wont lie and say I was not a little bit tense being in almost 40 foot of water with legitimate 2.5 foot white capping swells. Almost paddled to the bank and walked the boat around to the launch, but powered through and landed safe but exhausted.
