Still house hollow reservoir help

I live real close to the lake now and have been putting my kayak in at the marina, and concentrating on the coves and rocky points on the east end of the lake. Trolling/casting crankbaits and slip bobber rigging minnows. Specifically targeting smallmouth, I'm catching 1-3 each 4 hour trip out, with a handful of white bass as well. Anyone got any tips?

What about catfish on this side of the lake? (As opposed to putting in near the lampasas side, which had better catfishing and largemouth fishing as I hear it?)

Next time you head out there let me know..I would would like to take my kayak out there.
I live in the Copperas Cove area, just got my Kayak. I have been fishing the fort hood ponds quite a few times for bass.

I live close to the lake and am out there a couple days a week. Mostly Sunday-Mondays as I have off and can do more than the evening paddle. One largemouth about an hour ago today
