Hog Chasing

Post by jdavid1139 »

I think the bite is on. :) This pretty little lady had to have come in around 5+. Biggest largemouth in my 36 years. I had 7 fish murder a green rooster tail right after the sun dipped behind the tree. Had 0 interest or bites in the previous hour.

Had a similar experience yesterday 3/22/15. Fished for about two and a half hours without so much as a bump. As soon as the sun dipped down below the trees, the lake just sprung to life. I had four or five bites all within about five minutes of eachother. It died down as quickly as it had started. Only landed two, but both on top water. Man it was fun.

Didn't catch any beasts like that, but it sure is amazing how the bite will turn on and off like that. You could just feel it, like something had changed.
