Has anyone paddled the Florida Keys? If so how many days did you paddle and where did you go. I am trying to put a trip together starting in Key Largo and spend 8 days paddling to Key West. Currently working on shuttle arrangements. We will be taking all of our own equipment.

Also, I have an option to to take my tandem Hobie Adventure Island or one of my Ocean Kayak Tridents. Just trying to get a perspective on what might be the better option. My oldest son and his friend will be paddling a OC Trident and Prowler.

There is a chapter in One Inch Above the Water called Flirting with the Tropical Ocean that gives the authors account of a trip from Miami, FL to Key West. The whole book is great and worth checking out if you like kayaking expeditions, but that chapter might be relevant to you.
