Goose Island SP notice (Sunday update)
The waterfront sites and the pier were evacuated and shut down today because of flooding. Please call the park for any questions. The wooded area where I am is not going to be evacuated I was told. It is higher than the predicted flooding.

As of dark tonight, Sunday, the surge tide had dropped about 6 inches. The waterfront camping and pier were still closed. I would guess it would open sometime tomorrow. As an aside, specks and other assorted fish were being caught this afternoon around Rockport Beach area. I will be leaving the SP in the morning so this is the last in person report.
