Between the project of getting my new cabin and and hunting I think it will be next spring before I get on the water.

Couldn't you just spend the winter in your Hooligan?

Paul, it appears you have a worthwhile delay. We'll think about you and hook up next spring.

Could you send me some info on this trip? like where you put in or maybe a webpage to details? I been wanting to hit the devils river for about 3 years but no one to go with so this seems like it could be cool little trip.

We are changing our departure day to Saturday morning, Oct 10. We will put in at the hwy 16 bridge. We will spend two nights camping on the river. We will get out of the river at the hwy 4 bridge, at Rochelle's Canoe & Rental. Rochelle's will provide shuttle service and are located on Facebook. The hwy 16 bridge is a couple of miles downstream of Possum Kingdom Lake and the hwy 4 bridge is about 8 miles north of Palo Pinto. There are 4-5 of us scheduled to go and anyone is invited. We will likely launch in the late morning. There are no facilities on the river. You will need to pack everythig, such as water, etc.

Just concluded a very good trip. The river was about 125 cf/s and today's weather was quite warm, but overall a good trip. Pictures coming.

Great time, with a great group of guy's . We didn't fish hard at all. Fishing was slow with everyone I talked with up and down river. Weather had been up and down to. We did have to drag alittle more this trip then last. More of a easy going trip just to get away and recharge the soul.
