Thanksgiving on the South Llano

Post by Weird1 »

Well some how P.R. Steve and I convinced his wife and daughter to convince most of the rest of our family to have Thanksgiving at Morgan Shady Grove Campground on the south LLano river

here is the spread

And some breakfast cooking.

And of course a couple of hard earned fish.

only caught 2 keepers for 4 days of fishing. the bite was slow, but we had fun made 4 trips from the state park to the campground. had lots of fun.

Looks like a good time. Last year we spent Thanksgiving at Huntsville State Park. We got there on Wednesday and snagged 3 RV slots. We only had 1 RV (my in-laws) as the rest of us were in 2 tents. Stayed until Saturday and had a great time. Had two yaks (mine and my wife's) and got several of the group out on the water.

We're talking about going again next year but probably spend Turkey Day at home with the big family feed then go camping Friday-Sunday.
