Kayak fishing the Lone Star State...

#2290060
Best friend and I are trying to put together an overnight trip on the brazos starting on a Saturday- mid morning and making it to Waco by mid morning the next day. Anyone here have any recommendations of good places to put in at? Leave one vehicle (hopefully public area/well lit) and ending at Cameron Park in Waco?

Are y'all planning on fishing?

Dick's Place to Cameron is about 30 miles. I think you can launch from Brazos River RV and the float down is about 16 miles, but I'm not sure you could leave your vehicle. I would call both places about leaving a vehicle. I don't think there's any other access points above Waco.

Not sure how the camping is either on that stretch of the river.
