PM me, I'll give you a simple walk through that will only require some needlenose pliers....

Scot I pmed you... had enough of this nonsense breaking off of commercial leaders.... and F 300 lb mono leaders at HI for sharks.. those last approximately 1.5 seconds or 7 feet of your balloon torpedoing through the water.. happened twice to me today lol

Will these work for king leaders or are they too big?

Those are the ones I use..... I use a 5/0 Live bait J hook for the lead hook.... You can pick a duster you like, weight amount and wire weight.....

(King rigs are no secret, modifying from the norm is the key)

What weight steel strand are people using for trolling crankbaits and crystal minnows?

Yeah I have a problem, my tackle bag ways about 10lbs. On the bright side I'm only bringing a 9" x 13" tray of lures.

I tied a ribbon fish imitation to use on kings offshore. This should do well and was easy to make. Used 3M double sided tape with reflective side tape stuck to it. and the exposed areas left used finger nail transfer art. It comes right off on the sticky tape and makes it look like fins.
Added the treble hook rig and I am set. Will report on how well it does.

Andy.... that is exactly what I use (size 4, 4x strong, VMC treble hooks).

Punchingclowns.... Scott, great to see you lurking around on the kayak boards still. Do you have a kayak to do BTB anymore or just the yak you have for marsh fishing?

Andy.... in regards to the steel question, I use the 61 lb Malin wire for my leaders to my crank baits.

Crazy Yak..... it looks like you are set for the BWKC. Are you riding in a kayak or an Island this year?

SAHunter1983.... Tod, are you going to be competing in the BWKC this year or working it?

kickingback.... Charlie, that looks sweet on that ribbon design you have shown us. Definitely let us know how that works out for you.

That's a lot of question Yakety. I will be fishing on a Tandem Island looks like.

I dont have an option, as part owner it would be a conflict of intrest to fish an event I am helping to run. I am hoping we se some phenomenal fish this year. There are a few new rules and we are tweaking the format slightly. Overall we want to keep and grow the grass roots feel of the event with more sponsors. Good luck.

Stevo, remember each angler on the TI must be registered individually and there is no sharing of fish. ;)

We have always registered individually and never shared fish.

Blake, the post you're referring to is from last year. I mainly yak marsh fish. Sold my Hobie's and have a RIDE135.

I might do the BWKC again this year and have a Hobie lined up if I decide too.

Gotcha, I figured as much, just making sure it was out there since we did receive questions on that.

Tod, you might want to consider incorporating "Separate Fish Bags" into the rules for those fishing tandem.

Alright, so how did that reflective tape experiment work? :)
