Corpus Conditions

Post by Prof. Salt »

I went out yesterday to MP and paddled over 19 miles. Fish were scattered around everywhere, and some of the kings were big. I caught kings, big Spanish, an almost legal cobia, a shark, and a lovely chunky snapper. Seas were nice, with offshore swells running head high in the morning and settling to a flat lake by 3:00 pm. If the storm doesn't produce big surf (Windfinder thinks it will remain pretty flat) Saturday might be a fantastic day to hit the water. By Sunday the gulf will be ramping up for another long blow, from the looks of it.

Thanks for the report! Hoping my schedule and the at least somewhat calm seas will work out soon so I can get out there.
