Is it true?
I was told that they were catching black fin tuna off the jetties in port Aransas, is tha t true?

From the report, it sounds like it was much further out than the jetty.

yes, probably confused by the fact the outfit is named South Jetty

I only know of two blackfin tuna caught BTB in the Corpus area. One was at Mayan Princess, and the other was at the ships moored off Port A, and both were late summer when the migration was kicking off.
