Good call! All weekend is low breakers.
Will there still be fish? What is the water temp and when will effect the fishing offshore?

Last check water temp was down in the mid 70s. I imagine the kings might be gone but might be good for bull reds.
Gotta admit the conditions look tempting.

Even though the wind looks like it will be light, just be aware that it's going to be out of the east/northeast early. Plan for that in your paddle. We are use to the Summer pattern where the wind is out of the Southeast and makes for an easier paddle back to the beach. This push might be either parallel to the beach or slightly offshore.

I was going to head to CC from Houston for Saturday but wasn't able to find one person to do the trip with me as of yet. I called all of my contacts and everyone had things going on. It's still only the middle of the week. Maybe someones plans will change and will be able to go. I have a friend that is going to check things out on Friday to make sure the conditions match up with what the apps are saying. If I can't find anyone to roll with me on Friday for BTB in CC, I have another friend that will ride with me and we may settle for some inshore POC fishing for reds and trout. :)

I heard only snappers were being caught. No pelagics. Sorry.

I fished near Bob Hall on Saturday. Conditions were beautiful as forecast. All I caught were gigantic Gafftop.
I may have been too far out. I was fishing past the 3rd gut in about 10-15 feet of water. I was using finger mullet and live shrimp....on the bottom, knocker rigged and under a cork. Very slow for me. I saw a couple of other yakers near Bob Hall but couldnt tell if they were doing any good. I heard some of the surf fishermen were catching Reds, so maybe they were running much closer in to the beach. Water temps at or below 75 so the Kings are gone way offshore.
Sunday I tried Packery and did much better.
