Bob Hall Rigs 8/24/18

Post by rattlesnake68 »

Hello all. Looks like my father and I will be down the beach from Bob Hall Pier and headed out toward the rigs on Friday. We will probably launch around 7ish and I'll be on channel 69. We will be driving a big white dodge truck and fishing out of a Hobie TI. Hobie Islands move fast so I'm just throwing it out there if anyone else is going to be out on the salt in that area.

Awesome! I will miss you guys this time. I will be doing Thursday all day out there. There shouldn't be an issue with high swells and breakers this time!
Good luck to you both!

Dang it. We will be there Thursday late afternoon, but I was planning on running dad out to the Mayan if we had time, if not possibly run parallel with the beach looking for Spanish and maybe a trout. Good luck at Bob Hall, I'll pick up what you left behind.

Sorry I didn't post earlier. Great day on the water! Everyone catching kings from shore to big rig at Mayan Princess rigs. I caught 6 kings and a bunch of spanish mackeral. Lost count when they kept jumping at kayak and spitting the lure. Fished a halco lure 5 ft off the bottom near rigs. Didn't get any hits on ribbonfish, only halco trolling (pro190) and jigging lure (max110) and Tsunami glass minnow jig.
LOTS of bait around all the rigs and lots of bird action as well!
Good luck tomorrow! Should be the same at Bob Hall!
