Mission accomplished

Post by Killerbee »

Made it to the mayan princess rigs this past Saturday. I fished with Montleyak and drwhitecaps on Sat who were both great! Managed a king and 5 Spanish mackerel. I fought a huge ray for well over 30 minutes.

Sat afternoon I anchored about 200 yards past the last bar and managed a nice blacktip.

Sun morning I went out with Frank who was also an awesome guy! I can't remember what Frank's screen name is on here, so Frank if you see this post let me know your screenname bud. I caught another king and lost a good one. Caught a large Spanish as well. Bite was slower on sun though.

It was awesome trip and I was glad to make some new friends and see some new country.

Hey bud....enjoyed watching you fight that king. I saw you guys stayed out. I had to get home. How did the rest of the day go?

Haha, thanks (that was the first from a kayak too). We headed back to the first rig (not too long after you guys left) and watched a group on a boat fight a double hookup of 2 huge cobias (landed both of them). After the jealousy worth off, we started to troll back and my dad immediately hooked up to his first kayak kingfish and landed it (46" and really fat). By then, the storms had finally caught up to us and made the wind/waves a lot more powerful (took like 30 minutes just to get back to the rig after my dad landed the fish) .Later closer to the beach, I caught a spanish mackeral before we finally got back in.
