Another one I like along those lines:
"......in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”

Longliner, the shark initially planned to eat that guy in the yak, but with the boomerang rudder up like that the "dork factor" was just too much to overcome.

Since you did ask for a fishing shot, here's a good 1 I caught at high island just outside third sandbar. What made it extra fun is I was on my old 10ft heritage. Had to drag em in for a photo. lol

FYI: fish in mackerel and herring families (kingfish included) can be marinated/salted and eaten without any additional cooking. Great with stuff like boiled/mashed potatoes, etc. There should be recipes online for marinade -- typically it is good to go after 12-24h in the fridge, and after few days you either eat it or it goes too salty (unless you take measures). Just don't do this to fish that was already frozen -- taste will suck. Usual disclaimers about eating raw fish implied.Karyuu wrote:Clearing up the fridge of king fish steaks.

That explains why I haven't been eaten yet.

Lol, it might explain why most of us haven't been eaten yet.
