If you could only have 2 rod and reel setups?

If you could only have 2 of them?
I have 6 btb setups but find myself only fishing with the same two 90% of the time.
The first one is a 7' Shimano MH fast action spin with a Penn battle 4k I use this one the most. The other is a 6'6" heavy spin with a 6500 Penn. I can pretty much cover everything with these two.

Good question.

How does the 4000 hold up against larger fish?

My Penn battle 4k hasn't met it's match yet I have it spooled up with 250yrds of 20# pp on a 7' MH shimano teramar . I landed a 28" king trolling a rattle trap and never felt underpowered. The reel is tough and can handle much bigger fish.

Good to hear. I'm gearing up for BTB, and I hope to make a trip this year.

I was able to get a 6000 penn battle 2, and a shimano 4000 so far. Seemed that a lot of recommendations were for reels that could hold 300+ of 50# braid.

Avet Raptor mated to a Shimano Trevala rod for trolling.
Okuma 4000 series spin reel mated to another lighter Trevala rod. Neither set up has one of those gut sticking gimble butts.

I only have two spinning setups: both with penn allegiance 7' MH (12-20 line rating), one paired with shimano spheros sw 5000, the other with penn slammer iii 4500.
Both reels are supposedly fully sealed and splash resistant. Penn 4500 actually has a large line capacity and it's lighter. Both spooled with 40lb test 832 superline. However neither setup has seen water or fish. Hopefully they'll do okay with the bigger fish that I hope to run into this season.
