A diy bed extension for a kayak

Post by Longliner »

I'm not quite done with it yet just needs two uprights on the ends to keep the kayak from slipping off when being pushed acrossed the top. Maybe a little paint. I just slide it into the hitch and insert the pin and it's done.

Just for curiosity's sake, why elevate the back end? Most I've seen rode flush with the truck bed.

I made it for something else in mind and decided to call it a kayak rack instead. The kayak Sitting at an angle it doesn't stick as far and I can see the nose and not accidentally back into something
